I don't know anyone that comes out as early as you did and then complains there is no one there. In the off season, with a lack of tourists present the bar wouldn't get busy till around midnight, given the local workforce time to get off work and prepare to come out, AS WE ARE OPEN TILL 4am. BEACH=PLASTIC CUPS.IT'S THE LAW, (2) The Urban music your referring to is the music that was played for who? apparently YOU MUST NOT HAVE HAD TIME TOO NOTICE THE ETHNIC MAKEUP of the (10 paying customers) according to you. Your understanding of a tourist town and market astounds me after you literally bragged on every bad review you left, that you are a WORLD TRAVELER. We have thousands of positive reviews, and although you omitted from your review that you were visiting our business after the season has ended, I doubt that would make any difference to you. In business we sometimes struggle with trying to over please "those customers" that really have nothing good to say about anyone or anything and feel the need to bring a sense of entitlement to every market place they encounter, and I must say you take the cake.
At least we didn't get the copy and paste reviews you have left on here for SOOOOO many other businesses you left bad reviews for, and by so many I mean almost all the 60 plus I got through. As it is now, no thanks! Instead, I commute farther, to Pensacola where 3 different gay bars/clubs (Emerald city, Cabaret & Round-Up) are friendly and welcome all ages.We would like to thank you for your comments that you took time out of your day to leave. If they enclose the outside, and other seniors hang there, I'll give it another try. Splash will get the business as The ONLY local gay venue. I hope a new, all indoor gay club opens nearby, to give former patrons & fans of the now defunct Fiesta/Royale that style of place. If you are over 50, or expect an indoor club, this is not for you. First-Timers, now you know what I didn't. Splash is virtually all outdoors! Only the tiny bar itself is inside-you order your drinks then endure the heat, humidity, sea-breeze, and swat bugs outside. I expected the air conditioned comfort of an indoor bar. me-I was totally ignored (my attempts at friendly conversation were snubbed). I was out of place in the young, college-age crowd. With no other local option, I went to Splash Bar.
